Mr Abdus Shohid Proprieter of the Golden Spice Tandoori welcomes you to his new take away. He owned the well established Shahinoor Tandoori in its location in the village of Old Cwmbran for 10 years. Over the years the proprietor, Mr Abdus Shohid has won several awards from Torfaen County Borough Council on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Food Standard Agency, for the quality of his food, and the high standards of hygiene adhered to at the premises.

Mr Shohid has many years experience as a chef and he has worked in various parts of the world learning the secrets of Fine Asian Cuisine. He prides himself on the quality of the ingredients he uses and the preparation he and his staff put into producing meals which have been described as ‘The Jewel in the Crown of Indian food’. Mr Shohid particularly prides himself in the fact that customers are able to view the open plan kitchen in which the meals are prepared and cooked,.

The success of the Shahinoor Tandoori has been in the fact that the customer always comes first, and that the quality of the meals are not compromised by preparation time and the quality of the ingredients used.
